The Physics Of Car Racing

What has been done to make this a 'fair test'.

• We have the same track to ride on.
• We all have the same car.
• Everyone has the same materials.

What forces are needed to make the car go faster and how have you modified your car accordingly?

• Acceleration 
• Gravy(Gravity)
• We put the balloon on the top of the car for decoration.
• We taped some string on the back of the car.
• We use tape to stick the balloon down.  

What forces are needed to make the car stop and what adjustments have you made to try and stop it by the line?

• Drag/Friction slows down the car by pulling it.
• We added string to the back of the car to lower it so it doesn't go as fast.

What forces are needed to make the car travel further and what adjustments have you made to achieve this?

• Acceleration makes the car go faster so it won't slow down.
• We will pull the string down the ramp to make it go faster and travel further.
