In art this week I have been focusing on incorporating more Maori into my artwork and getting my brush strokes smooth. The photos above are photos of a piece of art I did. It started off as just a plain dragon but then I decided to add some colour to the background, and because I am trying to add more Maori designs into my work I added in a Manaia and done the same thing to the background of that painting except I changed the direction of the strokes.
In art, for now, the watercolours and painting are going well and I am getting better at doing smooth brush strokes with the watercolour. But I do need to stop doing the dragon and move on to something else as I have practised and done enough dragon drawings and need to do something else. So my next step is to carry on trying to incorporate more Maori designs into my work and so traditional Chinese designs.
