Salary
Example: Teacher
A fixed amount of money for a full year of work, some of the advantages you get are getting holiday pay, sick pay and sometimes you can get bonuses, but there are disadvantages like you get no extra pay for working over time.

Example: A kiwifruit packer 
An agreed hourly rate is paid when the employee is required, part-time work may suit some people but you don't get paid during the holidays and it is difficult to budget and it is not permanent.

A fixed amount is paid for each piece of work completed, and you can choose the time you work but it is very difficult to budget.

Commission
Example: A real estate salesperson 
There are two meanings to a commission the first one is Basic wages plus a percentage of the value of goods sold and the second one a percentage of the value of goods sold some of the advantages of being on a commission is that the more you sell the more you earn and the job is usually permanent, disadvantages is that it is hard to budget and success depends on the popularity of the product.

Reflection-Thoughts about vegetarian dishes we made:
What were your thoughts prior to eating? 
Nachos- As we were making it I thought it wasn't going to taste as good as ones that have meat in it because instead of meat we added beans, canned tomatoes that look like salsa, mixed vegetables and onions if you wanted them. 
Did your thought change after you sampling it?
Nachos- After we ate the nachos my thoughts had kind of change going from not thinking they would taste nice too they are better than I thought, but as we kept eating it started to taste weird. 
Why is it good to have one vegetarian dish per week in your diet?
Because it will be low in fat and you will get more minerals, nutrients and fibre in your diet.
Meat supply us with protein and iron give an example of a vegetable that offers you this as well? 
Dark green vegetables like broccoli, silver beet, spinach and peas.

metal rod experiment

Aim: To observe conduction along a metal rod.
Equipment: A metal rod, retort stand and clamp, bunsen burner, petroleum jelly,-510 drawing, a stopwatch.
Method:

1. Set up and light the bunsen burner.
2. Smear a small amount of petroleum jelly on to the head of each drawing pin.
3. Attach the drawing pins at even intervals along the length of the metal rod.
4. Clamp one end of the metal rod to a retort stand.
5. Position the retort stand so the unclamped end of the metal rod is in the Bunsen flame and start the stopwatch.
6. Record the time it takes for each pin to drop on the table below.
